Your Journey Starts Here

Yogahour® is an accessible, affordable, expertly-taught flow class that offers clear and specific alignment instructions. It is both a technology and a style that is the perfect blend of form (alignment) and flow (movement with breath).

This method maximizes safety and promotes longevity of practice. It’s for all levels of practitioners, from experienced students to the fit beginner. Yogahour aims to be the most doable yet difficult one-hour flow-form class offered anywhere.

The Yogahour training equips you with the tools and practices which empower you to deliver an expertly-taught flow class that emphasizes form via shape, safety, and refinement instructions for each pose. This training is for you if you have the desire to dive deeper into your yoga practice, expand your understanding of asana and alignment, and share your love of yoga with others. This 200-hour program is beneficial for new teachers seeking a foundation for their teaching career and experienced teachers looking for expert teaching technologies to bring clarity and precision to their instruction.

Maha Yoga’s 200-Hour Yogahour® Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance® approved program. Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to become a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200). This registry makes you a good candidate for getting hired to teach many styles of yoga. All graduates also have the option to become a yogahour certified teacher, which includes yogahour specific testing. Whether your aim is to teach or to polish your personal practice, this process will provide you with the necessary tools to achieve your goals.

The training is taught by Maha Yoga instructor and Yogahour Teacher Trainer Teagan Schweitzer.

Teagan Schweitzer, Ph.D., E-RYT 500, has been teaching yoga in Philadelphia for over a decade. She is a deeply dedicated yoga practitioner and her love of learning fuels both her practice and teaching. She is trained in a number of different styles of yoga and has studied intensively with Darren Rhodes, the founder of Yogahour. She has taught numerous teacher trainings and loves diving deeper into the practice with other students and teachers.
